Secrets of a lingerie drawer

Lingerie comes from the french word linge or linen. "so faire le linge" or to do the laundry as per wikipedia.org/wiki/lingerie. It is a word that has been around for some time.

In french, lingerie was used to refer to both men and women's undergarments, but within the English vocabulary it is synonymous only with women's underclothes and night apparel. Likewise, the Jamaican word "boggie" used to refer to women and childrens' underclothes. Please see jamaicanpatwah.com.It It is pronounced ba-gee in Jamaican creole. It's English version would be baggie...not to be confused with the plastic baggie used for food storage. I know what your thinking;  not as sexy sounding as lingerie

lingerie, however, has taken on a new meaning.for today's women.  The sexy boy shorts, lace bikini, faux silk thong, red satin baby doll and blue lace up teddy to name a few are more likely to top the list as a lingerie. Their larger and less fortunate cousins; cotton brief, and spandex and cotton control waist for example would probably be categorized under where? Under the underwear section of course.

But do not underestimate the power of the larger cousin brief for example. They are comfortable, and come fully equipped to perform an 8 hour long work day. Face it, you can't wear a thong or an uppity, high and mighty french cut with a riding licence to work and expect them to pull off the same performance.

Pull one out, not the right one? That's alright,   with individual compartments you don't have to worry about a mess. Just put it back and grab another.

Ladies treat your underwear as you would your Lingerie.

The multipurpose divider is great for many things   but as you can see it works very well as a lingerie divider.

The nice thing about dividing your lingerie in a drawer is that all is visible. You choose the one you want and close the drawer, easy peasy. This is a method that works well for children and the elderly. If you change your mind, you simply put it back in its compartment and choose another. There is no digging in the bottom of your drawer to find the perfect one and making a mess.
